The weather conditions didn't help the Kawasaki Psg-1 team in the last test before the beginning of the Superbike World Championship. The test took place on Ricardo Tormo circuit of Valencia and the rain and the slippery circuit conditions didn' t permit to the riders Regis Laconi and Fonsi Nieto to make great times. Anyway during the second of the two days both the riders tried several set up and calibrations that brought interesting results.
Regis used only the race tyres gaining 1' 36'' 02 as his best time. The same did Fonsi but he used the qualification's tyres( best time 1' 35''02).
In this spanish test made his debut the test team with Mauro Sanchini as rider. He worked a lot to take feeling with The four cylinders of Akashi 2006 and at the end of the day his best time was 1' 36'' 08 with standard tyres.
REGIS LACONI: " The circuit's conditions didn't help our work and we couldn' t push as we wanted. Anyway we have been able to try different solutions and these two days of test have been useful."
FONSI NIETO: " I'm satisfied of the time I did because objectly it was difficult to do better. We haven' t been lucky but we made big steps and this surely helps specially just 2 weeks before the beginning of the championship."
MAURO SANCHINI: " We did an interesting work and the target has been reached. I tried to ride the more I could get confident with the ZX-10rr and I think I've already found a good feeling. I just can be happy considering that I made my best time with standard tyres."
