The first half of the season was a difficult one for the Echo CRS team and Russell Holland. Together they endured 7 difficult races in which they were unable to fight for even a single point in the World Supersport Championship.

Russell was always the fastest of his team mates but unfortunately for Russell on the Monday before the Misano event of the world supersport championship, he was told his services were no longer required…

Russell said - “Its disappointing for me to have this happen after such a disasterous start to the season. I was especially looking forward to riding this weekend because the team have bought a competitive machine which I was looking forward to showing my capability on. I live for racing and intend to stay in Europe and search for a new opportunity".

It is to late for Russell to be on track here at Misano but with strong qualifying last year at Donington [6th] and Brno where he finished 7th Russell has two of his strongest tracks to come.
