Sabato mattina dallo splendido tracciato toscano del Mugello andrà in scena l'ultimo atteso evento della stagione agonistica con la 200 Miglia e con la Endurance GP. Un weeekend, quello alle porte, a tutto gas sullo splendido tracciato toscano per l’appuntamento endurance dell’anno. Una gara diversa dal solito, dove i piloti potranno sfidarsi in una distanza non abituale e regalare spettacolo come accaduto nelle sei edizioni precedenti.

AMA - Tragico incidente a Laguna Seca in Gara 2 Durante il primo giro della seconda gara del campionato MOTOAMERICA Categoria Superbike/Supertock 1000 nel circuito Mazda Raceway Laguca Seca, un incidente a catena, che ha coinvolto molti piloti, è stato fatale per due di loro. il primo Bernat Martinez, di Alberic è stato trasportato in ambulanza all'ospedale di Monterey dove si è spento a causa delle ferite riportate, aveva 35 anni. il Secondo Daniel Rivas Fernandez, di Moana Galicia, Spain, trasportato via aerea a Salinas, dove anche per lui le ferite riportate sono state mortali, aveva 27 anni.

World GP Bike Legends 2015 Classic racing fans have enjoyed thrilling racing from the biggest collection of former racing heroes ever assembled who between them have over 300 grand prix wins. Wayne Gardner, Freddie Spencer and Kevin Schwantz each took to the top step of the podium in three headlining 500cc races at World GP Bike Legends at Jerez Circuit, Spain. The encounters, which also saw the likes of Christian Sarron, Didier de Radiguès José Cardoso, Phil Read and Steve Parrish battling it out for position, were the tip of the entertainment iceberg, as legends also raced in 125c and 250cc classes, plus there was supporting action from the International Classic Grand Prix series.

Marc Márquez has won the second edition of Superprestigio Dirt Track in a thrilling Superfinal. AMA Grand National winner Jared Mees finished 3 tenths behind the Spaniard, with US rider Kenny Noyes completing the podium. Márquez got to the Superfinal after having imposed in 3 of the 4 finals in Superprestigio Class, while Jared Mees left no hostages in all 3 Finales in the Open Class. Both were a class in their own in this Second edition of the Superprestigio Dirt Track, in a packed Arena with over 9000 thousand spectators.

YART claim the 2009 FIM World Endurance Championship

The Yamaha Austria Racing Team’s (YART) 2009 YZF R1 crossed the finish line at the Bol d’Or yesterday to claim the 2009 World Endurance Championship title. YART started the 24 hour race at its usual pace, setting the best lap time and keeping an unmatched tempo with consistent times under 1.42 for a streak of 91 laps. Unfortunately the team was heavily tested when some issues appeared and ultimately lost the chance of a podium. Nevertheless YART managed to finish the race to gain valuable points which were needed to claim the well deserved championship.

KTM mourns the passing of Hans Trunkenpolz The news of the completely unexpected death of Hans Trunkenpolz has been received by KTM with dismay and sadness.The 65-year old died on Sunday following a heart attack suffered during a half marathon in Altötting, Bavaria. Hans Trunkenpolz retired in December 2008 following a professional life dedicated to motor sport and to KTM. The son of the company founder was himself a successful motor sports enthusiast as well as having discovered and nurtured motocross champion Heinz Kinigadner. He led KTM to eight successive victories in the Dakar Rally, which transformed KTM into the dominant brand in rally sport.

 

MotoGP Rookies Cup Brno, Race1: Florian Marino wins 10 man epic

Florian Marino won a sensational 10 man battle to the line to claim his first Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup victory. The 16 year old Frenchman fought off Briton Danny Kent and Italian Alejandro Pardo, both 15, with the first 10 all crossing the line within 2.3 seconds.17 year old Norwegian Sturla Fagerhaug finished 5th and now has a 3 point advantage over arch rival Jakub Kornfeil, the 16 year old Czech who was 8th. With the final race tomorrow at the end of the Cardion AB Grand Prix of the Czech Republic at Brno, the Cup battle is still open to the top 4 in the points table as Hiura finished 6th and is now 19 points behind Fagerhaug and Kent has 22 to make up from his 4th position in the table.

Ahead of what is KTM's home GP in the Czech Republic next weekend, the Austrian manufacturer was out in force in Vienna on Wednesday to prove it is always "Ready to Race" by adding plenty of zesty Orange to a promotion for the MotoGP in Brno.The famous Ringstrasse, which circles the inner city and is lined by some of the city's most famous buildings, was closed to traffic and given over to selected riders from the 125, 250 and MotoGP classes, including KTM's own factory rider, 16-year old Spaniard Marc Marquez of the Red Bull KTM Moto Sport team.

The second edition of the 8 Hours of Spa was breathtaking, from beginning till end.Despite the many difficulties, Jadoul/Dutronquois and their Kawasaki finally got their victory.After almost two hours of race, the BMW shared between the Spaniard Mazvecos and Werner Daemen crashed and they had to abandon, just when they were at the lead. A few minutes later, after 3h30, the Honda of Sébastien Le Grelle/ Mertens had to throw in the towel due to problems with the valves, this time they were leading.

Classroom instruction, conducted by Schwantz and his chief instructor, will cover visual awareness and concentration, body position and steering, lines and reference points, gear selection and shifting, and braking.

Norwegian 17 year old Sturla Fagerhaug leads the table by a handsome 43 points from 14 year old Japanese Daijiro Hiura but knows that a repeat of his first corner crash at the Sachsenring last year could turn all that around. With 4 races still to go there are 100 points to be won.Hiura has yet to add to the Cup victory he scored last year in Portugal but after a fine 2nd place in Assen he is just one of those Fagerhaug will be watching out for.

"What a great experience," stated a participant in the Montana Trail Vehicle Riders Association (MTVRA) fund raiser trail ride held at the Bull Run Ranch.KTM and the Montana Trail Vehicle Riders Association (MTVRA) hosted an organized trail ride on Thursday June 25, 2009 led by off-road pros Russell Bobbitt, Mike Lafferty, Nick Fahringer, Cole Kirkpatrick and Brad Bakken. A total of $1,500 was raised to help fight land closure battles in the state of Montana. Approximately 80 people showed up for the trail ride and experienced a fun-packed day of riding led by off-road professional motorcycle riders.

The 17 year old Norwegian showed how well he knows the Dutch TT track but realises that 16 year old Jakub Kornfeil from the Czech Republic is just the first of those who would like to knock him out of Pole Position."This is not really a favourite track of mine," admitted Kornfeil who was just 4 tenths slower than Fagerhaug and second quickest.
