The Repsol Honda Team rider wins the second round of the X-Trial 2015 World Championship. His 28th consecutive victory reinforces his lead.
Great success for Toni Bou at the second round of the X-Trial World Championship that was held yesterday night in Marseille. The eight times World Champion of the series achieved the best score in a difficult race, where he was able to continue his winning streak to 28 consecutive indoor wins. He also strengthened his lead in the overall standings, where he already has 40 points, 13 more than the second-placed riders –Cabestany and Raga–.
A selective six-zone itinerary, with the final in the reverse direction that the first phase and with a much higher level, saw Toni Bou at his best.
With 5 points after the first lap, in the finale the Repsol Honda rider built his advantage since the second obstacle, as he was the only one to be able to finish it and without penalty. Two “zeros” in zones 4 and 5 gave him yet another win in front of the 4,500 fans gathered at the Palais des Sports in Marseille.
The next round of the World Championship will be next Friday, February 6th, at the French town of Pau.

"It was a great victory, with a very hard qualifying, where I could not have any mistake if I wanted to continue. The finale was also very complicated, as I like them. I was even able to take some risks in the last zone for the public to enjoy. I’m very happy with this type of races, which are really worthy to be part of the World Championship: you need to push the limits and today I want to congratulate the organizers."
