Axo KTM Silver Action Team ready for Mantova Starcross

Silver Action Team will attend the incoming Motocross season with three riders: besides the confirmed Jeremy Tarroux and Angelo Pellegrini, both competing in MX2, the Team managed by Fulvio Crippa will have Spaniard Jonathan Barragan, coming from the KTM factory Team, riding its bike.

Barragan will retain his full status and all the benefit and support of being a full factory rider but now joins the Italian-based Team, adding his valuable experience and playing a mentor role for the other two young riders, Pellegrini and Tarroux.

The 22 years old Spanish ace posted a series of impressive results last year, among which we are pleased to mention the two runner-up spots conquered on the tricky sand of Valkenswaard circuit and at Sevlievo (Bulgaria), thanks to two heat wins. Barragan displayed a masterful performance at Sugo (Japan), too, where the second spot of Race 1 has been unfortunately
nullified by a DNF in the final heat. His 10th place in the final 2007 standing does not give credit of his great talent.

After a disappointing start of the season, French man Tarroux, signed by Silver Action in the middle of the 2007 campaign, soon was able to show his ability and speed and clinched a well-deserved runner up spot at Donington Park, England, which was also the best result posted by the Team last year. The former MX2 European Champion is growing up and is surely one of the
most interesting faces of the smaller class.

Angelo Pellegrini, by his side, experienced an unlucky season last year, as he crashed badly in his qualification heat at Valkenswaard in the first round of the World Championship and seriously damaged the ligament of his left knee. The young Italian underwent a surgery and had to sit out for the whole campaign, but is now eager to come back and to fight with the best guys out there.

The first event for Silver Action Team will be the Mantova Starcross, which traditionally opens the Motocross season, which will be held next 9th and 10th February at the famous Italian track.
