Rolfo and Nannelli lower their times at Jerez

Third and final day of testing at Jerez for Hannspree Honda Althea team. Today it didn’t rain, but a strong wind hampered the test and the work of the riders. Anyway, both Rolfo and Nannelli were able to lower the times recorded in the first two days, to confirm the good work done by the technicians of the team. The next tests are planned for 19th and 20th January in Valencia and 7th and 8th February in Vallelunga.

Gianluca Nannelli – Supersport: I am happy for the work we have done in these three days. The technicians are working very well and only a strong wind, in the fastest part of the track, didn’t allow me to lower my best time as I wanted to do. But the time of 1.46.2 satisfies me and I can say that now the bike is almost ready for the races. Now I want to rest to be ready for the test of January in Valencia.

Roberto Rolfo – Superbike: I’msatisfied with the work done here in Jerez. I have seen steady improvements on my motorbike and I managed to do 80 laps and lower my best lap in 1.44.4. I want to improve in the faster points, and I am sure that, with the work and enthusiasm of my technicians, we will succeed. I can’t wait to try the new 2008 bike in Valencia in January to better understand what is his potential.

Salvatore Giorlandino: Today, the track was dry, but a strong wind disturbed our riders and the asphalt temperature was only 13 degrees. I am happy that the times still went down. Nannelli’s motorcycle is almost ready while regarding the Superbike in the next test in Valencia we’ll test the work that the team is doing on the new 2008 CBR 1000 R. I think that after Valencia and Vallelunga – and also terry Hill will be with us - we will be ready to face the most of the first races.
