Mixed day for Stephanie Laier in Women's MX1 World Cup

KTM factory-supported rider Steffie Laier had a mixed day at the second round of the Women's World Cup held in Uddevalle, Sweden on Sunday, repeating her performance of round one with one finish and one crash in the two heats.

Laier, of Germany, started in great style, taking victory in the first heat of the women's races but then she came unstuck in the second when she got cross rutted on the big decent just after pit lane. The German rider landed on her face and as knocked out by the blow. Course doctors insisted she go to the hospital for a control but she was reported to have no serious injuries.
