Suzuki fans invade Castletown
Over 6,000 Suzuki fans invaded the sleepy haven of Castletown on the Isle of Man at the weekend, as the Golf Links Hotel played host to a day-long party by the sea, named Suzuki Sunday.

The major event on the calendar for Suzuki's TT centenary celebrations, Suzuki Sunday brought together an amazing array of iconic machines and riders, including the only Japanese winner of the TT, Mitsuo Ito.

Following the UK riding debut of the Suzuki B-King, on the promenade on Saturday night with ex-BSB champ John Reynolds, Suzuki fans began arriving at the Golf Links Hotel early on Sunday, revelling in the company of legendary machines and riders, like the 1963 50cc TT-winning machine of Mitsuo Ito and the RGV500 of 1993 Grand Prix World Champion Kevin Schwantz.

Suzuki GB marketing manager, Paul de Lusignan, commented, “We are truly thrilled by the attendance on Suzuki Sunday. It took a great deal of effort to put together the programme, but we are very proud to be part of the centenary celebrations, bringing some of our great machines to the Island from all over the world. While we thank the men that made Suzuki’s rich history possible, I would also like to thank everyone who joined us and made it such a special day.”

In attendance and chatting with fans throughout Suzuki Sunday were: Mitsuo Ito, Kevin Schwantz, Graeme Crosby, Chris Walker, John Reynolds, Bruce Anstey, Adrian Archibald, Ian Lowry and the many machines that have taken them to victory.

Suzuki would like to wish the Relentless Suzuki by TAS Team the best of luck in the races ahead this week.
